Meat substitutes are all the rage - and offer flexitarians, vegetarians and vegans new opportunities for great enjoyment. Vivera has been producing delicious plant-based varieties for a better world since 1990 and welcomes anyone who wants to join the "Goodness Movement". The aim is to get everyone moving and make the switch to plant-based food as easy as possible. Through products that taste just as good and have just as much bite as meat or fish, as well as delicious vegetarian and vegan recipes for every day. Because when everyone makes a contribution together, small changes become big!
A TREND THAT PAYS OFF
Eating less meat and inspiring others to join in - that's the first step on the road to a Happy Planet. And it also pays off in sales! The market for vegetarian or vegan alternatives to meat and fish is booming. In 2021, demand in Germany alone rose by 30% compared to the previous year, and by as much as 74% compared to 2019 (source: Nielsen LEH Umsatz). So it's high time to capitalise on this growth through optimal placement.

I am pleased to read in many articles here that REWE is aware of the trend towards sustainable, plant-based nutrition. Unfortunately, this has not yet found its way into the head office canteens. There, as a vegan, I can only fall back on side dishes or salad, because there are 2 daily specials with meat/fish, 1 vegetarian dish (which is unfortunately only very rarely vegan) and the weekly special, which also contains meat/fish. In many universities, for example, it is already a matter of course that a vegan, a vegetarian and an omnivorous dish are offered. It would be nice if this were also common practice at REWE soon.
I agree with that. Often it is even stated whether it is vegan or not. It would be easy to ALWAYS replace vegetarian with vegan. Unfortunately, things have been at a standstill here for years
