Now it's official: the takeover of the Hotelplan Group has been finalised

The DERTOUR Group has successfully completed the acquisition of the Hotelplan Group. This includes the travel agency and tour operator business in Switzerland, Germany and the UK. The exception is the holiday home specialist Interhome, which is being taken over by the HomeToGo Group. This means that the popular and traditional travel brands of the Hotelplan Group are now part of the DERTOUR Group.

"This is an exciting moment for all of us and marks a significant acquisition. Especially in Switzerland, this is a memorable day as the most recognised travel brands are now united under one roof," says Christoph Debus, CEO DERTOUR Group. "Our common goal is to offer our customers added value, achieve further profitable growth and play a significant role in the international travel market. With the broad range of popular tour operator brands and specialised travel providers, we will inspire travellers with even more diverse offers." In Germany, the vtours package tours, city breaks and round trips will expand the DERTOUR portfolio with immediate effect and also increase the range of offers for sales partners. In the UK, the acquisition increases the speciality travel portfolio to a total of eleven with four new successful brands. "We warmly welcome all Hotelplan Group employees who are now part of the Trusted Travel team," says Christoph Debus.

Continuity for customers and partners
The completion of the takeover will have no impact on Hotelplan Group customers - a seamless transition is guaranteed: The offers of the popular Hotelplan brands will be retained and further developed in the future, all booked holidays will be carried out as planned and all offers can be booked for any desired travel date. All travel agencies will continue to operate.

Close cooperation between the country organisations
The gradual merging of the structures and processes of the two organisations will begin immediately. The business units and group functions will be integrated in such a way that the country-specific needs and preferences of travellers will continue to be the focus in the future.

Common technological platform
The IT infrastructure is being standardised so that customers and partners can benefit from the advantages as quickly as possible. The basis for this is the introduction of a common technological platform on the Hotelplan side in Switzerland and Germany.
