The Bonduelle Group received B Corp certification in nine countries in October. The DACH countries achieved 88.7 points in the first audit process.
This represents an important milestone in the Group's sustainable development and is in line with its declared ambition on the path to a responsible future for business. After the USA and Italy in 2023, further Bonduelle markets in France, the Netherlands, Denmark, Belgium, Spain, Portugal, Germany, Austria and Switzerland have now received B Corp certification.
This means that 80 per cent of the Bonduelle Group's business is B Corp certified. Only a few large international companies go through this demanding process. Bonduelle is thus demonstrating its commitment to high social and environmental standards and moving closer to its goal of certifying the entire group of companies by 2025.
"The B Corp certification is more than just an award, it is above all a process of continuous improvement and a guarantee of trust for consumers and partners. By embedding the B Corp approach at the heart of all the company's activities, Bonduelle is promoting a stable, modern and exemplary business model," explains Xavier Unkovic, CEO of the Bonduelle Group.
The B Corp certification stands for transparency, responsibility and the use of business as a force for good. It evaluates companies in five areas: Governance, Workers, Communities, Environment and Customers.
"B Corp has created a remarkable dynamic at Bonduelle: this collective project is a unique opportunity to promote and drive forward the best practices of all our employees. The work and energy put into realising this corporate goal is considerable and demonstrates everyone's commitment to contributing to a better world," explains Céline Barral, Chief Impact and Strategic Planning Officer.
As a family business, Bonduelle's B Corp certification of 80 per cent of its business reaffirms the commitment it has maintained for seven generations: to put a little more green on the plate every day and to promote the necessary transition to a plant-rich diet, for the benefit of people and the preservation of the planet. Its 10,300 employees and 2,000 agricultural partners are proud to offer consumers healthy, high-quality products and contribute to a story that began in 1853. More about B Corp.
