In the survey of 50,000 employees, the weekly magazine Stern and the market research company Statista identified Germany's 650 best employers. The central question of the independent online survey: Would you recommend your employer to others? The results were divided into 24 industry lists - including retail excluding clothing, wholesale, food and consumer goods and many more.
PENNY in 6th place in the retail sector
In a sector comparison (retail excluding clothing), PENNY ranks 6th - well ahead of Aldi, Lidl and co. Toom is in 40th place.
Across all sectors, PENNY is ranked 83rd among the top 100 employers.
Nico Lehm, Head of Human Resources at PENNY, commented: "I am delighted with PENNY's excellent performance. It shows that we are on the right track, especially with our employer campaign. Very good results should be an incentive for us to become even more attractive as an employer. Because we face tough competition."
All companies with at least 500 employees in Germany were eligible for assessment.
Each employer had to submit at least 100 judgements to be included in the evaluation. Some well-known companies failed to clear this hurdle. The fact that they are missing from the ranking does not mean that they are bad employers.
