Further investment in the Aldiana club brand: Exclusive resorts acquired in Italy and Spain

A new club in Calabria will be part of the Aldiana programme from summer 2025. Ownership of the Aldiana Club in Andalusia is transferred.

The DERTOUR Hotel Division continues to invest in the premium club brand Aldiana and acquires two exclusive resorts in Spain and Italy.

The DERTOUR Group Hotel Division is taking over the former LABRANDA Rocca Nettuno Tropea hotel from the FTI Group with effect from the end of the year. Aldiana is thus expanding its portfolio with an exclusive resort in Calabria, the southernmost region of the Italian mainland. The club has been bookable for holidays since 10 December.

The DERTOUR Hotel Division also acquires the popular Aldiana Club in Andalusia, Spain, which has been an integral part of the club portfolio since 1998.

„With the two acquisitions in the holiday destinations Italy and Spain, which are so popular with our guests, we are consistently pursuing our strategy of growing sustainably with the Aldiana brand and offering our guests a high-quality club programme“
Karl J. Pojer, CEO of the DERTOUR Group Hotel Division

This means that a total of four of the eleven Aldiana resorts will now be operated under ownership. "With these two acquisitions in the holiday destinations of Italy and Spain, which are so popular with our guests, we are consistently continuing our strategy of growing sustainably with the Aldiana brand and offering our guests a high-quality club offering," explains Karl J. Pojer, CEO of the DERTOUR Group Hotel Division. "We are once again investing in exclusive club resorts with outstanding locations. These steps emphasise our ambition to further expand the Aldiana club brand."

Situated on a rocky plateau above the sea: the Aldiana Club Rocca Nettuno Calabria
The new Aldiana Club Rocca Nettuno Calabria is located on a rocky plateau above the beach of Tropea with a sweeping view of the sea, nestled in a Mediterranean garden that extends in terraces towards the sea. The historic centre of Tropea is just over a kilometre away and the airport of Lamezia Terme is around 60 kilometres away. Equipped with 290 rooms, the "Adults friendly" club has a pool as the centrepiece of the complex, a buffet restaurant with a large outdoor terrace, a beach restaurant, several bars, an open theatre, a spa, a wide range of sports facilities, a lift to the beach and a small shop.

Green park with typical Andalusian architecture: Aldiana Club Andalusia
The popular Aldiana Club Andalusia is nestled in 30,000 square metres of park-like gardens and designed in the style of an Andalusian village. The family-friendly club offers its guests 280 rooms and is located on one of the most beautiful sandy beaches on the Costa de la Luz, "Playa La Barrosa". Jerez de la Frontera Airport is around 50 minutes away by car. Holidaymakers will find the right mix for a successful holiday with a varied sports programme, relaxation offers in the Welldiana Club Spa and high-quality cuisine.

Andreas Pospiech, Managing Directors of Aldiana GmbH, adds: "We are delighted to be able to announce two pieces of good news to our guests at the end of the year: With the new Italian addition, we can offer "holidays among friends" in a picturesque location on the Calabrian coast. The new club is an enrichment for our portfolio and promises special holiday experiences with typical Italian charm. The Aldiana Club Andalusia is one of our favourite resorts with many regular guests. Taking ownership of it now gives us the opportunity to further tailor our guests' holiday experience to their wishes."

Club brand on course for growth
Since the complete takeover of the Aldiana Group in 2022, the DERTOUR Group has laid the foundation for the further expansion of the premium brand: in 2023, the Aldiana Club Side Beach opened in Turkey and the Aldiana Clubs Ampflwang and Fuerteventura were acquired. In November of this year, the Aldiana Club Zanzibar Kwanza off the coast of East Africa opened as the first Aldiana Club on the long-haul route. Further club openings in Austria and Egypt will follow by the end of the year.
