Subject to merger control approval, DSR Hotel Holding GmbH is acquiring Travel Charme Hotel GmbH & Co. KG, thereby expanding its portfolio by 13 exclusive hotels and resorts in prime locations in Germany, Austria and Italy.
As part of its growth strategy, DSR Hotel Holding GmbH (Rostock) is taking over Travel Charme Hotel GmbH & Co. KG (Berlin) with its twelve hotels and resorts in Germany and Austria. A further hotel in the chain in Italy will open in summer 2024. Subject to fulfilment of the contractual closing conditions and approval by the antitrust authorities, the transaction is expected to be completed on 31 March 2024.
Expansion of market position in the German and Austrian holiday hotel industry
DSR Hotel Holding operates and markets a high-quality hotel portfolio that includes growth-oriented hotel and resort brands as well as traditional individual hotels. With the acquisition of Travel Charme, DSR Hotel Holding's portfolio will grow to a total of 35 hotels, 21 of which are located in Germany, nine in Austria and five in Italy. As an expert for holiday hotels in the premium segment, Travel Charme operates hotels in first-class locations - particularly in the Baltic Sea region and the Alps. DSR Hotel Holding is thus further strengthening its position in the German and Austrian holiday hotel industry and the market for ground-based travel and is continuing its strategy of sustainable growth, individuality and quality.

DSR Hotel Holding is active as a hotel management company in Germany, Austria and Italy and acts as a lessee and operator of hotel projects. It is also a holding company for operator participations. As a subsidiary of DR Hospitality GmbH & Co KG, it has been a joint venture between DSR GmbH and DER Travel and Tourism as the majority shareholder since 2021.

The portfolio currently comprises 22 hotels, 15 of which are managed under three of the best-known and most prestigious hotel and resort brands in the German-speaking region: A-ROSA, aja and HENRI. The portfolio also includes two traditional individual hotels, Hotel NEPTUN and Hotel Louis C. Jacob and four hotels of the Italian subsidiary Mira Hotels & Resorts, Alagna Mountain Resort & Spa, Acaya Golf Resort & Spa, Riva Toscana Golf Resort & Spa and Borgo di Luce I Monasteri.
