DERTOUR Group acquires DSR Hotel Holding in its entirety

The DERTOUR Group will take full control of DSR Hotel Holding (DSR HH) with effect from 1 August 2026, acquiring the shares in the joint venture previously held by Deutsche Seereederei.

DSR Hotel Holding is one of the leading hotel groups in the holiday accommodation sector in German-speaking countries and is particularly renowned for its first-class locations – whether in the city, by the water or in the mountains. Its portfolio includes well-known brands such as A-ROSA, aja and HENRI, as well as renowned individual hotels such as the Louis C. Jacob in Hamburg and the Hotel NEPTUN in Warnemünde. In total, DSR HH operates and markets 34 hotels in Germany, Austria and Italy and employs more than 2,700 employees.

Strong portfolio for travel by car and train
For the DERTOUR Group, DSR Hotel Holding is a strategically important addition to its hotel portfolio. Hotels that are easily accessible by car or train are becoming increasingly important to guests. With this full acquisition, the DERTOUR Group is therefore specifically strengthening its offering in the local and short-break travel segment.

„With the full acquisition of DSR Holding, we are systematically driving forward the expansion of our hotel business. The hotel experience is one of the key components of our range of experiences. It is in our own hotels that we achieve the highest levels of guest satisfaction and profitability.“
Christoph Debus, CEO of the DERTOUR Group

The vision: to further expand market leadership
“It is important to us to maintain the strength of DSR Hotel Holding whilst at the same time realising our shared potential,” says Ingo Burmester, CEO of the DERTOUR Group Hotel Division. “The aim is to further strengthen and expand DSR HH’s leading role in the holiday hotel sector in Germany, Austria and Italy.”

Management: Philipp von Czapiewski takes up his post on 15 August
DSR Hotel Holding is also reorganising its management: as previously announced, Philipp von Czapiewski will take over as Chairman of the managing directors on 15 August 2026. He will be responsible for the further development of DSR Hotel Holding alongside Thomas Hoffelner (CFO) and Niklas Griffin (DoO), and will also become a member of the Hotel Board of DERTOUR Hotelgesellschaft. DSR Hotel Holding will in future be represented on this board with its own seat.

A brief history: DSR Holding is part of the joint venture established in 2021 between Deutsche Seereederei and the DERTOUR Group.

The DERTOUR Group had already increased its stake to 74.9 per cent in 2024. With the acquisition of the remaining shares, the DERTOUR Group will become the sole owner of DSR Hotel Holding.

The A-ROSA Tegernsee is set to open shortly

DSR HH’s next opening is scheduled for September: the new A-ROSA Tegernsee. It combines a modern lifestyle with alpine charm. The hotel, with 123 rooms and suites, is centrally located in Tegernsee, just a few steps from the lakeshore and accessible by train from Munich. Highlights include the rooftop bar with panoramic views over Lake Tegernsee, a restaurant and a spacious spa and fitness area with an indoor pool, saunas and a steam room.
