DERTOUR Deutschland GmbH is acquiring the specialist tour operator I.D. Riva Tours, thereby strengthening its offering in the specialist travel segment. With 55 employees, I.D. Riva Tours is one of the most renowned providers of tours to Croatia with a focus on cruises on small ships, group tours and holiday homes and flats. Subject to merger control approvals, the takeover is expected to take place in the first quarter of 2025.
Strengthening the speciality travel segment with an established brand
I.D. Riva Tours has a portfolio of over 200 holiday homes and maintains partnerships with almost 400 Croatian hotels and holiday resorts. In addition, I.D. Riva Tours is the exclusive distributor of more than 30 motorised sailing boats and yachts. The tour operator thus completes its circle of currently more than 30 specialist brands across Europe under the umbrella of the DERTOUR Group. This segment recently grew again with the acquisition of Solmar Villas, a provider of exclusive holiday homes in the UK, at the beginning of last year.

The established brand will be continued under the DERTOUR umbrella and continue to grow within the Travel and Tourism network. As part of the acquisition, the employees will be taken on and the company will continue to operate from its locations in Porec (headquarters) and Trogir in Croatia as well as in Gräfelfing near Munich. For guests and partners, booking channels and contacts will remain as usual. In the future, the offer in Croatia will be further expanded. To this end, close cooperation is planned with the DERTOUR Group's Croatian destination agency, Destination Travel and Tourism Services, which has two offices in Pula and Makarska on the Croatian Adriatic coast. New joint branch offices are also to be established in Croatia in the future.
