The Museum Ludwig will celebrate its 50th anniversary in 2026. For five decades, it has shaped Cologne’s cultural landscape, inspiring people with modern and contemporary art and creating a space for encounters, exchange and new perspectives. As a long-standing partner, we are delighted to celebrate this special anniversary together with the Museum Ludwig and to be there in person on 13 September for the festivities.
“Happy 50th anniversary, Museum Ludwig! We are delighted to be continuing our partnership in 2026 – now in its tenth year. Art brings our city to life, brings people together and opens up new perspectives. That is precisely why we at the REWE Group support it with such conviction. Diversity is what drives us – it inspires, moves and helps us all move forward together. Special thanks go to Yilmaz Dziewior *and his team for their outstanding work and the many ideas they have provided. Together, we ensure that modern art remains accessible to everyone,” says Lionel Souque, CEO of the REWE Group.
„Together, we ensure that modern art remains accessible to everyone.“

Art and culture enrich our society. They bring people together, foster creativity and open up new perspectives. That is why the REWE Group has been supporting cultural institutions and projects in Cologne for many years.
Through our support for the Museum Ludwig, we are now in our tenth year of backing a venue where cultural diversity, social exchange and artistic innovation can be experienced first-hand. This includes our sponsorship of the exhibition ‘Along the Colour Line – Traces of a Transatlantic Modernity’, which addresses important social issues and opens up new perspectives on cultural connections.
We warmly congratulate the Museum Ludwig on its 50th anniversary and look forward to celebrating this special milestone together with its visitors.
