Latest investment by DER Travel and Tourism Hotel Division
Aldiana Club Fuerteventura acquired

The DER Travel and Tourism Hotel Division continues to invest in its own hotels: Following the acquisition of the Aldiana Club Ampflwang in July, the hotel division of DER Travel and Tourism Group now announces its next purchase. Subject to fulfilment of the contractual closing conditions, DTH Real Estate Fuerteventura S.L (Morro Jable, Spain), a member of the DER Travel and Tourism Group, is purchasing the Aldiana Club Fuerteventura.

The popular Aldiana Club on the Canary Island has long been an integral part of the Aldiana portfolio and was previously operated on a leasehold basis. The spacious resort with direct access to the beach has a total of 361 rooms.

With this latest acquisition, the DER Travel and Tourism Hotel Division is consistently implementing its strategy: "Investing in selected properties is one of our long-term goals. With this step, we are delighted to be operating our fourth hotel in total - and already the second Aldiana Club Hotel - under ownership," says Georg Schmickler, CEO of DER Travel and Tourism Group Hotel Division.
The Aldiana Club Fuerteventura is located in a picturesque bay in Morro Jable. Situated high above the sea, the small bungalows of the extensive club complex offer views of long sandy beaches, natural rock formations and the Atlantic Ocean. The resort offers a comprehensive range of activities, sports and wellness programmes for families and couples, which is highly appreciated by regular guests.

Water sports fans in particular get their money's worth here and can enjoy a variety of activities - be it kitesurfing, surfing or diving," Schmickler continues.

DER Travel and Tourism Group took over Aldiana in full in 2022 and has since laid the foundations for the further expansion of the premium brand: The new Aldiana Club Side Beach in Turkey opened this summer, for example, and another new building will follow in Egypt in 2024.

DER Travel and Tourism Group is the travel division of REWE Group and is one of the leading travel groups in Europe. The hotel business is one of the Group's strategic growth areas and has been bundled in the DER Travel and Tourism Group Hotel Division since 2021.
