With the purchase of the popular Aldiana Club, DER Travel and Tourism is once again emphasising its commitment to the growing hotel business.
Subject to antitrust approval, Aldiana Management GmbH (Bad Mitterndorf), a member of the DER Travel and Tourism Group, is buying the Aldiana Club Ampflwang in Austria. The sellers are the Swiss investment company LMEY Investments AG (Zug) and Club Hotels Europe Management AG (Zug).
The popular Aldiana Club, which was previously operated on a leasehold basis, has been part of the Aldiana family since 2018 and has an extensive 45-hectare complex on the edge of the forest with a capacity of over 200 rooms.

With this step, DER Travel and Tourism is once again emphasising its commitment to the growing hotel business: "We are pursuing a strategy that focuses on high quality and individual hotel experiences. We want to continue to grow with our premium club brand Aldiana and are delighted to now be operating our first Aldiana Club in Austria with Club Ampflwang," says Georg Schmickler, CEO of DER Travel and Tourism Group Hotel Division.
Club Aldiana Ampflwang is located in the Hausruckwald, between the cities of Salzburg, Linz and Passau. Equipped with a large and modern riding facility, a Welldiana Club Spa and a 500 square metre indoor play park, the resort is aimed in particular at families and holidaymakers seeking relaxation.
"The Aldiana Club Ampflwang offers nature-based relaxation for the whole family, which also delights numerous regular guests. The special location on the edge of the forest and the variety of high-quality leisure facilities provide us with an excellent basis for further developing the resort," emphasises Aldiana Managing Director Markus R. Kempen.
Background
in 2022, DER Travel and Tourism Group took over the Aldiana Group, which operates nine resorts for high-quality club holidays. Since then, the foundations have been laid for the further expansion of the premium brand: The new Aldiana Club Side Beach in Turkey will open this summer, followed by another club in Egypt in 2024.
The hotel business is one of DER Travel and Tourism Group's strategic growth areas and has been bundled in the DER Travel and Tourism Group Hotel Division under the leadership of Georg Schmickler since 2021.
