Ines Schurin has been responsible for Corporate Communications at REWE Group since 1 July 2022. In this role, she has now begun to adapt the structure of the company's communication units to the new requirements of different interest groups within and outside the company. She spoke to Judith Morgenschweis in the one_Podcast about what this means for the relevant departments and what she understands by contemporary corporate communications.
Ines Schurin, Head of Corporate Communications
The world of (corporate) communication has changed drastically, not least due to the influence of social media: The possibility of dialogue for a company has become a demand for dialogue from a wide range of interest groups. And this demand must be met with rapid speed and intensity if a company is to succeed in anchoring itself as positively as possible in public opinion - both internally and externally. "To ensure this, we need to become more efficient in our communication, reduce interfaces and break down silos," says Ines Schurin.
Andreas Krämer, Press Spokesman REWE Group and PENNY
A first step in this direction: PENNY is getting its own corporate communications department headed by Andreas Krämer. Like REWE's corporate communications department headed by Raimund Esser, this will become part of REWE Group's corporate communications department from 1 October 2022. In addition to his role as REWE Group press spokesperson, Andreas Krämer will now be responsible for PENNY's external communications in Germany as the official PENNY press spokesperson. Together with Carolin Raspe, previously Senior Marketing Manager, as Head of Internal Communications PENNY Germany, he will shape and further develop PENNY's corporate communications.
Raimund Esser, Head of Corporate Communications
Raimund Esser and his team will continue to be responsible for REWE corporate communications as the "Key Account Team REWE".
