Diabetes campaign
To kick off REWE Group's diabetes campaign, three affected colleagues told us how they deal with diabetes - some of them for decades - which requires planning, attention and discipline on a daily basis. Their tips: a healthy diet, plenty of exercise, socialising with like-minded people - and optimism.
Diabetes Action Week
To mark World Diabetes Day on 14 November, we ask the following questions in advance: What is diabetes? Where does it come from? How can you fight it? And how do employees deal with the disease in their day-to-day work? Answers are provided by occupational physician Dr Claus Goth and Scott McDonald, representative for the disabled.
Company addiction officer, part 2
Andreas Heimhöfer and Ines Popp, two of our experienced company addiction officers, know how looking and acting can help colleagues affected by addiction.
B2Run/health management
With 700 employees, REWE Group had the largest group of runners at the B2Run company run in Cologne, with a total of around 1,000 nationwide. For most of them, running (and running) as a team with their colleagues was more important than their own fitness.
Sleep problems in women
Women suffer from sleep disorders twice as often as men. This is shown by numerous scientific studies. The cliché of the snoring man at the side is often to blame. However, there are other causes - and fortunately also solutions.
Breast cancer screening
Antonia Greifenberg-Bouhaik is as good as blind - and successfully feels for abnormalities and tumours in the female breast. Many health insurance companies cover this, and REWE Group supports preventive measures like this with time credits.
