Zwei moderne Logistikzentren zeigen, dass wir als REWE Group auch im Ausland Maßstäbe setzen, wenn es darum geht, Energie einzusparen und zielstrebig Richtung Klimaneutralität zu gehen. Das sind die Fakten zu den neuen Lagern in der Slowakei und in Italien.
BILLA Slowakei – neues Logistikzentrum in Sered
Ein Jahr nach der Grundsteinlegung eröffnet BILLA ein neues Logistikzentrum in Sered. Mit einer Investition von 39,5 Millionen Euro bestätigt BILLA seine Position als bedeutender Player im Handel, als starker Investor und Arbeitgeber. Das moderne und ökologische Greenfield-Gelände mit einer Fläche von 138.202 Quadratmetern wurde im Industriegebiet von Sered errichtet und ist vergleichbar mit der Größe von 20 Fußballfeldern.
Elf Monate dauerte der Bau des Logistikzentrums, das im Vergleich zum ursprünglichen Zentrallager über 74 Prozent mehr Lagerfläche (28.500 Quadratmeter) verfügt. Die Lagerkapazität wurde um 47 Prozent erhöht, mit der Möglichkeit, bis zu 23.000 Tonnen Ware in verschiedenen Temperaturbereichen zu lagern. „Die Investition wurde vollständig aus eigenen Mitteln und denen der REWE Group getätigt. Wir haben ein modernes und umweltfreundliches Zentrum gebaut, das der Region wertvolle Arbeitsplätze bringen wird. In den dreißig Jahren, in denen wir in der Slowakei tätig sind, haben wir bereits fast 700 Millionen Euro investiert und setzen unsere Pläne fort. Die Investitionen der nächsten Jahre werden in Technologien und Ausrüstungen fließen, die uns helfen, die Treibhausgasemissionen bis 2030 um 30 Prozent zu reduzieren und bis 2040 Klimaneutralität zu erreichen", sagte Arnd Riehl, CEO von BILLA, anlässlich der Eröffnungsfeier des neuen Logistikzentrums.
PENNY Italien – neues Logistikzentrum in Cascine di Buti
„Wir werden unser Logistiknetzwerk auch weiter ausbauen, um der strategischen Bedeutung des Landes Italien bei PENNY gerecht zu werden", betont Gotthard Klingan, Chief Operations Officer von PENNY Italien, und erläutert: "Diese Einweihung und die in Catania im Jahr 2019 sind die Bestätigung dafür. Wir reagieren flexibel auf die Veränderungen, die uns der Markt und soziale, politische und umweltbedingte Ereignisse auferlegen, und optimieren und gestalten das Vertriebsnetz effizienter, das die Verbindung zu unseren Kunden darstellt. Ich glaube, dass diese neue Aufstellung in diese Richtung gesehen werden sollte, aber allgemeiner können wir sagen, dass Verantwortung und Innovation derzeit unsere Prioritäten sind.“

Two modern logistics centres show that we, the REWE Group, also set standards abroad when it comes to saving energy and moving purposefully towards climate neutrality. Here are the facts about the new camps in Slovakia and Italy.
BILLA Slovakia – new logistics centre in Sered.
It took eleven months to build the logistics centre, which has 74 percent more storage space (28,500 m2) than the original central camp. The storage capacity has increased by 47%, with the possibility of storing up to 23,000 tons of goods in different temperature ranges. “The investment was made entirely from our own funds and those of the REWE Group. We have built a modern and environmentally friendly centre that will bring valuable jobs to the region. In the thirty years that we have been operating in Slovakia, we have already quickly invested 700 million euros and implemented our plans.
Investments over the next few years will flow into technologies and equipment that will help us to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 30 percent by 2030 and to be climate neutral by 2040,” Arnd Riehl, CEO of BILLA, at the opening ceremony of the new logistics centre.

Es wäre schön, wenn man die Photovoltaikanlagen auch auf den Fotos sehen könnte. Leider ist nicht mal ein einziges PV-Modul erkennbar.
Was soll "Photovoltaikanlage mit einer Kapazität von 400 Kilowattstunden" bedeuten? Sind 400 Kilowatt peak gemeint oder 400kWh pro Jahr? Oder gibt es einen Akku mit einer Kapazität von 400kWh? Selbst eine kleine private PV-Anlage produziert in der Regel weit mehr als das 10-fache von 400kWh pro Jahr...
